Albert Greenhut "rolls" to CFCC 2015 Championship

Geriatric Florida Dummies Group Champs Again

by: Sugar (January 20, 2016)

The second year of the National College Football Playoff is in the bag with the Alabama Crimson Tide taking home National Championship honors after beating the Clemson Tigers in a very entertaining game. No complaints from college football fans this year, and no complaints from dirty-dawgers about a crappy scoring routine either! That makes 1 year in a row for dirty-dawg.

The top 3 finishers for dirty-dawg.com's CFCC rolled right along with The Tide in the Bowl Blowout with all 3 having 23+ points on Alabama in both the semi-final game and the final. In fact, the top 3 players finished with identical 151-69 records overall. But the dawg at the top is one Mr. Albert Greenhut from Evanston, IL! Albert takes the 2015 Gold Dog Bone by 10 points scoringa total of 960 points. Albert climbed 13 spots in the standings after an incredible Bowl Blowout that earned him 19 wins and 242 points. Albert had 24 on The Tide in the semi-final laugher and went big with 23 on The Tide in the final. We don't have new car, or breakfast with the USC Cheerleaders for you, Albert, but you do have the admiration of dirty-dawgers everywhere, forever, and that is, well Priceless! Congratulations on a well-played Bowl Blowout!

Carrying the torch for the fairer dirty-dawgers is dd veteran and overall runner-up, Tina Fausey. Tina is from Dillsburg, PA and has been playing dirty-dawg since it was known as dirty-pup. Tina also put all of her faith into Alabama and racked up 258 Bowl Blowout points on a 19-6 record. She was up 40 places to finish just 10 points off the championship pace and earn that Silver Bone. Great job, Tina!

And the 2015 Bronze Bone goes to Bowl Blowout Champion, Mike Zwier, from St. Albans, WV. Mike had one of the best Bowl Blowouts of all dirty-dawg time rocking a 22-3 record and 288 points. That performance vaulted Mike 115 spots to number 3 overall. Do not adjust your computer, really, 115 spots. And he had 24 on The Tide in the semi and 25 on Saban in the final. Unconcious performance, Mike!!

There was more greatness just a little further down the standings. Johnye Peacock finished in 4th place overall, with 2009 Bronze Boner Jeff Raberding finished 5th. If Clemson would have prevailed, Jeff would have been the subject matter of paragraph number 2 above. Brian Sadler settled in at number 6, while Seymour Moseley finished 7th. More about the dastardly Moseley Clan in a minute! Don't look now, but Johnny Vegas, from Las Vegas, NV, had his best season ever coming in at number 8 overall, just 48 points back. Yes, that's right, only 7 players out of nearly 500 were better than just picking the line each week. Not sure what that means other than those Vegas guys really know what they are doing. Russell Barker and Darone Jones rounded out the Top 10 for 2015. Just out of the money was 2009 Champ, David Schomaker.

Zwier and Fausey finished 1-2 in the Bowl Blowout, followed by Johnye Peacock. Albert Greenhut, Jeff Montgomery and Laura Jones (the better half of the Jones Tide-Loving Team) were 4 through 6 respectively. Kent Ross, Bill Herrman, Mark Wiley and William Moseley finish up the top ten for the 2015 Bowl Blowout. And a special shout-out to orginal dirty-dawg member George Mathews, who finished 11th and has been playing a version of this game since before the Internet.

Finally, our old friends The Moseley Family, otherwise known as Geriatric Florida Dummies are back in Group Glory after easily taking the 2015 Group Crown. GFD amassed an average score of 872.6 and all members finished in the Top 90 overall. Wow! We are not sure how many times they have won Group Play, but I am sure they do. It's a lot. And this year was even more amazing since no Florida based school was really in the mix for most of the season. Congratulations, Moseleys!

Perennial Powerhouse Gulf Coast Rumblers were Group Play runner-ups this year. Most of that team plays from Alabma. Hmmmm. In third pace this year was the Know Nothings, but apparently that is not an accurate description of the group, which plays mainly from the great state of Texas. Borderline Erotic and Dawgzilla finish up the Top 5 for 2015. Great job to all groups and a special thanks to the group administrators that take the time to run the groups this year.

As we round out another CFCC here at dirty-dawg, we would like to remind everyone that it takes a huge effort from several people to bring this contest to you every year. We would LIKE to say that, but the truth is it takes about 6 dudes, working real jobs with real families and a bunch of other things, all scattered across the country to bring this to you each year. They know who they are and they have my thanks, just like every year. So, enjoy the rest of the Super Bowl Blowout, The Big Dance, hockey, baseball, golf, NASCAR and even soccer to get you through the drought until we reach the best time of the year once again, College Football Season and dirty-dawg CFCC 2016!
