Indiana Ruling 2025 Football. Google It!
by: Sugar (October 15, 2025)
We are at the halfway point of the college football season and about one-third complete with the big
boys and it's pretty clear that the state of Indiana is dominating the sport in 2025. If you haven't
been paying attention, that may surprise you some. But here's the deal. The Indiana Hoosiers are
undefeated and just took down Oregon AT Eugene. Let that sink in for a minute. The losingest program
in college football is a power to be reckoned with and is sitting at #3 overall in the national polls.
They would be higher if the name on their jersey didn't say Indiana. And their Coach, Curt Cignetti,
was panned at the beginning of last season when he told reporters, "I win. Google me." No need to
Google now. And over in big-boy land, the Indianapolis Colts are tied for the best record in the NFL
with Tampa Bay at 5-1. We checked and Peyton Manning is still hocking anything somebody will pay him
for and not QBing the Colts after all. So, congratulations to Indianians (or whatever they go by) for not
looking forward to basketball season already, like is typical for mid October.
For CFCC Week 7, there were several 13-2 records on an average score of 60.2 but it was Kevin Oram from
Sherwood, AR that bested the field with 110 points, missing only on the Iowa State and Florida losses.
Great job, Kevin! Phil Stiegman from Sierra Vista, AZ was a close 2nd with 108 points, while Megan
McCoy from Arlington, TX was 3rd. Overall, Jeremy Buckles from Strawberry Plains, TN leads the overall
contest for the 6th week in a row. Jeremy was in 2nd place after Week 1 and has led the contest since!
Linda English remains in 2nd place with 2022 Champion Tom Fannin up another spot to #3 overall. Heidi
Holland from Clayton, NC was up a whopping 47 spots and into #4. Scott Franke is in 5th place. And a
special shout-out to dirty-dawg Charter Member Mike Coyne, who was up 9 spots to #9. In Group Play,
The Border War Still Lives in KC remains in 1st place with an average socre of 420.40, which is 5.2
points better than The Florida Dummies - Legacy and almost 15 better than Stratus-Faction Guaranteed.
We also have put PFCC Week 6 in the books, complete with yet another London crack-of-dawn game and
even worse, two Monday night tilts. Our prediction: soon the NFL will play a game every day. Anyhow,
all that really matters is than during a week when the average score was 46, Josh Boustead pulled off
a 109 with a 12-2 record. He missed his 3 game with Miami and his 2 on Washington. Excellent work!
Penny Zabel from Portland, Texas was the Week 6 runner-up with 91 points. Overall, Nick Hampshire has
taken over the lead with 373 points, but it is a close race with Jeffrey Overton just 2 points back,
last week's leader Deb Bulloch 4 points back and former leader Matthew Brady just 6 points off the lead.
Teddy Overton is 8 back in 5th place. While the overall contest is close, the group contest is not as
Boomerbacks continue to hold a sizeable 27 point lead over No Mistakes near this Great Lake. Boomerbacks
has 4 of the Top 10 overall players in their group and all 8 members are in the Top 60!
And now a couple of announcements as we get ready to head into another weekend of football. The first
thing is, and let me know if you have heard this before, there is an early PFCC deadline once again
for Week 7 due to another freaking game in London. How much American football can The Brits really
endure? The second thing is that we will be pulling the plug on group play changes following the Monday
night game(s) for Week 7 PFCC. So, add good players, or email us to dump your dead weight. In The
meantime, get those picks in and good luck with this weekend's games!
