CFCC/PFCC Launches 26th Year Labor Day Weekend

Welcome back, faithful dawgers, to the 26th year of dirty-dawg.com Sports Confidence Contests! We are ready for another exciting season of college and pro football and you are at the right place for the best free football contests on the web. We hope you are all gearing up for our challenging and competitive contests based on your confidence to produce winning picks!

As always, we will kick off with the original dirty-dawg contest, the College Football Confidence Contest (CFCC). In this contest, we select the best 15 college football games each week for you to select and put a confidence factor of 1 through 15 on. We already have the Week 1 game form up and ready (we are not worrying about the Week 0 snoozers) with a dead line of 11 AM CDT on Saturday, August 30. The premier matchup of Week 1 will be everyone's (maybe) #1 Texas Longhorns and Arch Manning heading into Columbus for an awesome tilt against The Ohio State University, otherwise known as the defending National Champions. Other good matchups include LSU at Clemson, Notre Dame at Miami (FLA) and TCU at North Carolina and their famous new coach. Games are scheduled for the traditional Saturday, but also Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend.

The following Suday, September 7, we will kick off the Pro Football Confidence Contest (PFCC), which will be the beginning of a grueling slate of games spanning 18 weeks before the playoffs. Along the way some of you will miss deadlines on Sunday mornings, or Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. For the PFCC, we will select up to 15 games each week for your frustration. We will get that Week 1 gaem form up soon. will this finally be the Detroit Lion's year, or did they blow their chance last year. Maybe Philly repeats? We will not know the answer to that for another 5 or so months!

In the meantime, we are happy to see so many new players so please keep up the good work on that. And do not forget to get your groups set up if you want to take part in group play this year. Remember that groups will be included in the overall group standings as long As at least 5 players join a group. We have a couple early favorites for group name: Stratus-Faction Guaranteed in the CFCC and Shedeur's Future is Oblique for the PFCC.
