dirty-dawg Thoughts
Sean Poulos Leads dirty-dawg.com
by: Sugar (November 1, 2023)
No need for two separate articles this week! Not that we have actually written 2 articles in one week this season anyhow. With that said,
Sean Poulos of Paducah, Kentucky currently leads dirty-dawg.com. That's right, Sean leads both the CFCC and PFCC contests after Week 9 and
Week 8, respectively. We think this has happened before, but it was a long time ago and only carried one week. Either way, this is an impressive
feat for Mr. Poulos! In fact, the dirty-dawg.com Legal Department has launched an investigation into reports that Mr. Poulos may be associated with
one Connor Stallions, but the signs are not clear. And after further review, it was discovered that dirty-dawg does not even have a Legal Department so
nothing will likely come of that allegation. Anyhow, Sean has a narrow 2 point lead in the CFCC over Mark Linhares of Calera, Alabama and Liam McNeil
from Germantown, Tennessee. Sean, who finished 3rd in the 2019 PFCC holds a commanding 30 point lead in the 2023 PFCC contest. Mike Lowder from
Albemarle, North Carolina is in 2nd place, followed by Alan Rezek, playing from St. Albans, West Virginia.
Andrew Quigley from New Braunfels, Texas was our CFCC Week 9 Champion nailing down 90 points on 11 wins. Karen Hatfield from Owasso, Oklahoma was the
Week 9 runner-up with 72 points on 12 wins. Paul Todis also had 72 points on 11 wins which landed him in 3rd place. Over in Week 8 PFCC, it was 2017
PFCC runner-up Linda Kunches from Niwot, Colorado and Pembroke Pines, Florida player Amanda Fanning taking home the honors. Both Linda and Amanda scored
82 points on 12-3 records. Interestingly, Paul Todis also finished 3rd in Week 8 PFCC to go along with his CFCC Week 9 showing. Taking a look at Group
Play shows Boomerbacks with a huge 20.5 point lead over All in the Family in the CFCC. The Border War Still Live in KC is in 3rd place with High Plains
Drifters in 4th. Hailraisers leads PFCC groups with Padookie Quack Attack and the PFCC version of Boomerbacks in 3rd place. The Passing Wind is 4th after
8 weeks of PFCC games.
We are starting to get an idea of which teams may land in the College Football Playoff with the CFP gods releasing their first Top 4 for the 2023 season.
Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan and Florida State are the teams to beat as we head down the stretch. Of course, Michigan and Ohio State will have their
huge match-up at the end of the season. And of course, this will be the last season for the Bowl Blowout and CFP as we have known it for so long as the
CFP will expand to 12 teams in 2024.
In the meantime, both CFCC and PFCC game forms are up for the incoming weekend. The good news is there is no early London game this Sunday. The bad
news is there is an early Frankfurt game Sunday, so make sure to get those PFCC selections in by 830 AM CST! That's right, we are giving you an extra
hour to get your PFCC picks in this Sunday, due to the rollback to standard time. Good luck the rest of the way!
