2022 CFCC Week 11: Fear, Loathing, and We're All Running Out of Time

By Boda (11/16/22)

That title sounds much more foreboding than it really is. Only for a few of us is the end of the world actually imminent. But for all of us dirty-dawgers we are down to just 2 more weeks of college football picks followed by a massive Bowl Blowout. A lot of people still have a shot to win the overall CFCC. Eight people are within 50 points of the lead and sixty-one within 100 points of the lead. We expect everyone else will just start putting big points on crazy upsets.

Bruce Comer of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee was the CFCC Week 11 winner with a stellar 12-3 record for 96 points. Also of note were Robert and Nystrom (Broomfield CO) and Bill Cline (Elizabethton TN) for their 13-2 records for 84 points and 78 points respectively. Both had losses on Oregon and Tulane. Overall, Todd Hamill was able to stretch his lead from 2 points to 16 points thos week, and Pat Spoden moved up 4 spots within the top ten to 20 points behind the leader.

Fail
In week 11 game action, we through a solid 15 game out there as red meat for everyone with Tennessee and Missouri, but after that it was a relatively difficult week with consense 12 pick Oregon going down a a very good Washington team. LSU made everyone sweat it out as a consensus 8 pick on the road against Arkansas -- barely pulling it out. And TCU made believers out of us all beating touchdown favorite Texas on the road -- which was also a 6 confidence level pick amongst top 25 dirty-dawgers. For Week 12, we start the first of two rivalry weeks where Iowa continues it quest to capture every bronze statue with some sort of farm animal. This week's Iowa-Minnesota winner gets the Pink Floyd of Frogmoore. Michigan and Illinois renew their storied rivalry with the winner taking home a stack of folding chairs. In LA it's USC visiting UCLA with lot's of tickets available for that one. And in Norman they say it's a hubbub, or pandemonium, mayhem, or just general disorder. And last, don't forget the dirty-dawg World Cup edition starting next week. I have 15 on Tunisia to win the whole thing.
