PFCC Week 8 Wrap: Perfect 13-0 From a Dawg Named Redeye

By: Sugar (2026-11-03)

Week 8 of the PFCC is in the books, and the field came out of it with a 61.5 average, which is about what happens when the chalk mostly holds and then four games walk up and slap you in the mouth anyway.

Thirteen real games, two that belong on a drive-in screen, and a whole lot of people staring at their Arizona-Dallas confidence points wondering how it went so wrong so fast.

Ashlyn Meffert Keeps the Trophy Case Warm

Week 8 PFCC belongs to a dawg called Redeye. That's it. That's all we've got on them. No last name, no bio, just 117 points and a 13-0 card that didn't have a single hole in it. Perfect week. Nothing to needle. Great job... Redeye. Brad Mickelson takes the runner-up spot at 12-1, and the one he dropped was Dallas, right along with most of the rest of the field. Misery loves company. Fine job, folks!ย

Ashlyn Meffert has amassed 431 points on a 74-37 record and that is the best number on the board to date. It also means Ashlyn stays on top of the 2026 overall contest for a second straight week, which is starting to look less like a hot streak and more like a problem for everybody else.ย Nick Greenawalt is right there with 423 points (72-39), with Ashley Warthen at 419 (73-38).ย  Tammy Meffert is in 5th place with 405 (72-39), so the Meffert household is currently running a two-car operation. Thanksgiving at that table is going to be insufferable.

The Games That Did the Damage

Let's start with Arizona at Dallas. Ninety-seven percent of this field had Dallas, most of them with a stack of points on top, and the Cardinals went out and ruined the entire afternoon. If you were one of the three percent on Arizona, congratulations, you can coast on that for a month.

Philadelphia-Washington was the other haymaker. Ninety-one percent on Washington, Washington delivers, and the nine percent who went Philly got exactly what they ordered. Hard to feel sorry for anybody there.

Then Chicago. Eighty-three percent of the room liked Seattle and the Bears said no thanks. Same story in New England, where 97 percent had the Patriots and got paid, and in Baltimore-Buffalo where 95 percent rode Buffalo and cashed. The field was mostly right. It's the two or three it was wrong on that set the tone.

Kansas City-Denver was the closest thing to a coin flip we had โ€” 54 percent on the Chiefs โ€” and Denver took it. Low points for most, thankfully. Las Vegas over the Jets at 58/42 was the other near-split, and the Raiders came through for the slight majority.

Shoutout to the 1 percent clubs: one percent took Tennessee against Cincinnati and one percent took Indianapolis against Jacksonville. Both got what they deserved. You know who you are.

And Yes, We Played the Monsters

Two bonus games on the slate for the season: Dracula-Frankenstein went 46/54 to Frankenstein, and Chucky-Leatherface came in 61/39 for the doll. No film study available, no injury report, no spread. Just vibes and bad dreams.

If you put more than three points on Leatherface, we need to have a conversation about your process.

Movers and Shakers

Brad Mickelson had the week of the week in the standings department, jumping 43 spots from 169 to 126. Tom Fannin was right behind with a +40 move, 133 up to 93, which gets him into actual relevance.

Redeye climbed 37 spots, 183 to 146, and Charles Thomas gained 36 to move from 69 all the way to 33. Thomas is now in genuine striking distance, which is more than most of this field can say in late October.

Now the bad news. Deb Bulloch dropped 67 spots, 62 down to 129, and that's the kind of week that makes you close the laptop and go rake leaves. Raymond Jojola fell 58 (53 to 111), Jeff Graschel slid 43 (57 to 100) and Lori Orosco gave back 40 (113 to 153).

Four players who were all sitting in or near the top 60 are now looking up at a lot of people. That's confidence pool football. One bad lock and you're taking the stairs down.

Group Play

Padookie Quack Attack continues to run the groups. Nobody has laid a glove on them yet, and at some point one of these other outfits is going to have to actually do something about it instead of waiting around for a collapse.

Early Deadline โ€” Set Your Alarm

I've never been to Spain, but I kind of like the... football?!? (If you don't know this reference, check out Three Dog Night on Spotify/Apple/Amazon Music).

That's right, we're back on an early deadline this week with another NFL game over in Europe, this time in Madrid. So do not sleep in, do not wait until noon Sunday, and do not come crying to us when the site locks you out and you get the lowest real score for the week.

Get the picks in. Ashlyn Meffert isn't waiting on you.
