PFCC Week 6 Wrap: McKinney Climbs Six Into a Very Crowded Lead

By: Sugar (2026-10-20)

Week 6 of the PFCC is in the books, and if you were anywhere near the top of the standings Sunday morning, you may want to sit down before you look at where you are now.

The field average was a laughable 19.8 points. The low score was minus twenty-one. Minus. Twenty-one. That is not a typo and it is not a misprint, that is somebody who put their biggest numbers on the chalk and watched every single one of them catch fire.

Everything's Coming Up Milhouse

Not for Chris McKinney, though. The man from Bedford, TX went 10 wins for 57 points, which was the best haul of the week and good enough to jump him six spots into the overall lead at 333 points on a 60-25 season ledger. John Schmidt also banked 57 points, but did it on 9 wins, so Chris takes the weekly by the tiebreaker.

"Everything's coming up Milhouse!"

Enjoy it, Chris. The way this week went, the lead is less a throne and more a folding chair.

Nick Greenawalt sits right there with him at 333 (55-30), with Alex Erwin at 323 (58-27), Ashlyn Meffert 319 (56-29), Ashley Warthen 309 (54-31) and Steve Beaver 305 (57-28). Three hundred and thirty-three is a crowded address after Week 6.

Where It All Went Wrong

Let's go to the scene of the crimes.

Tennessee over Indianapolis. One percent of the field took the Titans. ONE. Ninety-nine percent of you went to bed Saturday night feeling smart about Indy and woke up feeling like the guy who tipped the valet before he brought the car around.

Arizona over the LA Rams. Zero percent. Not a soul. A clean sweep of the building, and the Cardinals went out and did it anyway.

Cleveland over Baltimore with 85% of the room on the Ravens. Carolina over Philadelphia was actually the field's friend at 68%, so credit where it's due. But Houston beating Jacksonville with only 13% on the Texans, and New Orleans handling the Giants with 33% on the Saints, kept the bleeding going all afternoon.

Green Bay took care of business over Dallas for the 82%. Buffalo did its job against Las Vegas for the 96%. Pittsburgh over Tampa Bay paid off for 81%. San Francisco and Kansas City were the two unanimous picks that actually held up, so if your week had any dignity left, it came from there.

And Chicago over Atlanta at 56/44 was a coin flip that broke the right way for just over half of you. We'll take it.

The top 25 going into the week scored 30.8 and the top 10 scored 32.2, which tells you the good players still found a way to stay above water. Doesn't mean they liked it.

The Elevator

Jake Herty rode it up 48 spots, from 109 all the way to 61. Dick Wagenmaker jumped 45 to 106. Christine Kruse moved up 44 into 50th, and Brian Burleson climbed 43 to sit at 49.

Now the other direction, and it's ugly. Preston Naden dropped 81 spots, from 43 to 124. Albert Greenhut fell 75, from 27 to 102. John Sikora went from 45 to 109. Robert Stonefield went 47 to 110. Four guys who were having a perfectly nice season on Saturday and are now rebuilding.

Gentlemen, the Ravens were a very popular football team this week. You had company. It just wasn't the kind of company you wanted.

Group Business

Astrophage Audibles had the best group week and they are not handling it with grace:

"Hey Padookie!! You just got stopped! How about them apples? Has a rivalry just been born? Amaze amaze amaze!!"

Take it easy, double-A! Padookie Quack Attack still leads the group standings by 9.5 points over BoomerBacks. Looks like WFO Paducah has their bulletin board material for the week!

Set Your Alarm

London does not call this Sunday. France does. Same early deadline, 8:30 AM CDT, and the deadline does not care that you were up late watching the Dark Mode / Light Mode debate play out at 59-41, or that the field split 55-45 to the National League.

Don't snooze and looze. Si vous ples.
