Group Name: Florida Dummies Legacy

Group Description: We are back! Sure, our hopes and dreams (and placements) keep sinking like the Titanic, but we know how to swim, or at least doggie-paddle. That's what we do in Florida, swim and make headlines for doing stupid stuff. Speaking of the Titanic, it's been 84 years since we first competed as a team in dirty dawg, 84 years ago back in the year 2000 or so. I remember it like yesterday. I was working a boring office job. We didn't have Pumpkin Spice Lattes back then in the olden days, so the only thing to look forward to every fall was football. When you are bored in an office job, you look for jobs in the classified ads, and you look for football contests online! Google had just gone viral as a new search engine, and wouldn't you know it - a google search led me to the dirty dawg page. Rather than just a pick-em contest, I discovered this was a confidence contest. I also discovered that for some mysterious reason it was popular with weather service people around the country. It was perfect! I loved our local weather people in North Florida back in the day - George Winterling, Tim Deegan, the plump and portly weekend guy Daryl Wayne. What a time. Anyways, to make a long story short, I saw you could win a free t-shirt each week if you had the best score, so I signed up. Soon after, I recruited family and friends (minus the friends) and the Florida Dummies team was born. We dominated early and often, a juggernaut to be feared. But with success comes overconfidence, arrogance, apathy...failure. We have really stunk it up the last several years (say it with me now - stunk it up like Philip Fulmer after a Costco-sized can of baked beans.) I pondered what had happened - what had changed? Then I realized my team is only motivated if they can win stuff. So do us a solid, Dirty-Dawg Directors, and send us group champion t-shirts when we win this year.
