PFCC Week 9 Wrapby: Sugar (November 11, 2017)We are halfway through the 18 week PFCC season and it looks like we have finally gotten rid of those annoying early-Sunday-morning kick-offs across the pond. And as the college football schedule loosens up up after Thanksgiving, we will be back to a full 15 game PFCC schedule. Marty Mullen, a proud dirty-dawg.com charter member, took home the hardware for Week 9 PFCC. Marty went 11-1, only missing on the Cowboy victory over the Chiefs, while scoring 104 points for the week. That pick makes sense since Marty has been known to hang out in Texas from time to time, which has likely tainted his judgement some. Zachary Higgins was the Week 9 runner-up with 90 points on a 10-2 record. Eric Seymour finished 3rd with 82 points. Great jobs, dawgs! On the overall leaderboard we have Brandon Bigelbach leading the way with 480 points on an overall record of 81-42. Brandon holds an 11 point lead over dirty-dawg veteran Tina Fausey with 469 points on a record of 83-40. Jerry Bailey, Brian Boyd and Anthony Cavallucci round out the Top 5 after 9 weeks of dirty-dawg PFCC play. Hailraisers currently rules Group Play with an average player score of 389.33 points. They hold a commanding lead over 2nd place Harvey Crusaders with 357 points and Going Up 4 the TD with an average score of 356. We also found out during Week 9 that dirty-dawg PFCCers prefer Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty and Jim Morrison as their favorite dead rockers, or at least that is their favorite three over Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and George Michael (was he really a rocker?). As we approach Thanksgiving week and roll into the holidays make sure to keep a close eye on PFCC deadlines. Week 12 (Thanksgiving week) will have an early Thanksgiving morning deadline and there will be more frequent Saturday deadlines as we head into December and through the holiday season. So, remember to get your dirty-dawg picks in early and often. A lot of dawgs drop the ball during the holidays, like there is other more important things going on? Good luck with Week 10! |
