Entremont/Binau Poised for CFCC Greatness, Super Bowl Blowout Time

by: Sugar (January 4, 2017)

Happy New Year from dirty-dawg.com! We've been through 13 awesome weeks of college football and 24 (mostly) entertaining bowl games but the dirty-dawg CFCC Championship will come down to the National Championship game between Alabama and Clemson. The current leader is Kenneth Entremont from Reserve, Louisiana. Kenneth has 21 points on the Crimson Tide and if they pull off the victory, he will win the coveted 2016 CFCC crown. However, if the new Tide OC screws the pooch against a Clemson team that handed Urban Meyer his only big time college football shutout ever, Aiden Binau from Billings, Montana will take home the championship. Aiden, who is obviously part of the vaunted Binau dirty-dawg family dynasty, as well as the 2014 runner-up, put 1 point on Ohio State in the final. Of course, that is a loss, and his final score will be as it stands, but he is 38 points back from Ken and with a Crimson Tide loss, Ken will suffer a big negatory 42 points to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This will be fun to watch in a lot of ways. Dawgzilla leads the group play going into the final game and is looking for their first ever group win. Not surprisingly, Ken Entremont also has the highest score for the Bowl Blowout, just ahead of Scott Dukesherer. Most dawgs have big double-digit points on Nick Saban's crew so if Alabama wins, we probably won't see any big shake-up in the standings. If Clemson wins, all bets are off.

And I will continue with my prediction after Week 2 or 3 or whatever it was when I said that Alabama will NOT win the championship this year. I actually thought they would lose before now, but Clemson looks on the brink for some payback and it will be interesting to see how the Alabama offense does after Kiffin was given his walking papers. I have felt all along that the freshmen QB Hurts would eventually cost them a game and only one true freshmen QB has ever won a national title. And Clemson's QB is pretty good! With all that said, Alabama displayed a dismal offense against Washington, but still easily beat one of the best teams in the country. That's not only impressive, it is scary!

Finally, on the senior circuit, the Super Bowl Blowout form is up and ready for playoff handicapping. For those of you that may be new, or have slept since last season, the Super Bowl Blowout works a little differently than the CFCC Bowl Blowout. For the Super Blow, you put 1 through 12 on the 12 playoff teams with 12 going on the team you think will win the Super Bowl and 1 on the team that has the least chance of winning a single game. As teams win, you get the points, or multiples of the points, you placed on each team. And the best part, there are no negative points in the Super Bowl Blowout. Get those picks in by Saturday at 330 PM, or you will screw up the other 17 weeks that you got your picks in on-time.

So, enjoy the rest of the seasons. We'll be back here to wrap up the CFCC next week and back with some PFCC updates as the playoffs head through January. Good luck the rest of the way!
