Week 13 PFCC Wrap: What Can Brown Do For You?by: Sugar (December 3)Who the hell is in charge of NFL scheduling, anyway? You know, when we started this PFCC gig, there were usually 15 games per weekend. Well, not anymore. With the networks figuring that the NFL should play not only on Mondays, but also Thursdays, there can be any where from 12-16 games per weekend. Toss in an early start in freaking London a time or two and you have one big clusterflub when it comes to tryiing to keep the PFCC game forms high and tight. You can also mix in the mandatory bye weeks for these multi-millionaires and we at dirty-dawg HQ are relegated to having you all answer all of life's tough questions...like rain vs snow, democrats vs republicans and doosh bags vs tools. This time of the year (the most wonderful time of course) we have the problem of too many games. If coming up with those fake games week to week isn't enough, now we have to pick a game NOT to play, which always ruffles feathers, no matter what game we choose. So, how do we decide which game is left out? Well, we just look at what we think is the crappiest, least interesting match-up of the week and give it the Deep Six. For Week 13, that game was one and ten Raiders at four and seven Rams. Sure, our players in Oakland and St. Louis weren't thrilled, but the Raiders got blanked 51 zip, or something like that, so we think we did pretty well this time around. That makes one. Steve Friend and Bill Herrmann both scored 72 points and 11-4 records to share the Week 13 PFCC honors. Doug Schneider was 3rd with 70 points. Great job guys and for your efforts this week, we wanted to let you know that you get your names mentioned in this summary. Congratulations! And now to answer the question, "what can Brown do for you?" The answer is, kick everyone's butt down the PFCC stretch. That's what Mr. Brown from Tomahawk, Wisconsin continues to do each week. Mr. Brown remains our leader with 795 points on a record of 125-55. MB has a big 38 point lead over 2nd place Bob ("Put me in Coach") Fogarty. Bob has 129 wins so far this year, which is 4 better than Mr. Brown. Too bad for Bob this is a confidence contest! Clay Weir, ISIS Leader Jack Settelmaier, and Josh Boustead round out the Top 5 dirty-dawgs after 13 weeks of play. We just mentioned ISIS Leader Jack Settelmaier. Despite constant pressure from the US Military, ISIS remains in 1st place in group play with an average score of 680. You Said Watt is 7 points off the leading pace in 2nd place, followed by powerhouse Soggy Bottom Boys in 3rd with a score of 667. There are 3 more regular season weeks of PFCC 2014 before the Super Bowl Blowout. Will Mr. Brown play it safe, or try to put the field away and make the Super Bowl Blowout irrelevant? We shall see. Good luck with Week 14! |
