PFCC Marty Mullen dominates the competition in Week 1

by:The Cold Hard Truth

In a week that saw an average score of 26, Marty Mullen from Brunswick, Ohio ripped the competition to the tune of 93 points. Marty has an early 28 point lead over his closest competitor, Alexander Overton from Liberty, Mo. Nick Hampshire from Fort Worth, Jared Lee from Broomfield, Colorado, and Ryan Hamill of Tyrone, Georgia round out the Top 5 dirty-dawgs for Week 1.

Marty only lost the New Orleans-Atlanta game and the Houston-Washington game. Just like Antonio Brown, who delivered a cleated facial to Cleveland punter Spencer Lanning this past Sunday, I'd say that Marty clearly "has a leg up on the competition."

Let's give a special hello to Preston Naden of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, who scored a steller -46 on his way to a 6-9 performance this week. Preston's #315 ranking places him only 139 points behind Mr. Mullen. Even though I'm short on encouragement and Preston really has no chance of winning, let's not be too tough on him. There were 31 other PFCCers who scored in the negative this week. All that time you put in making your picks - that is time you can never get back in your life.

In the group competition, the Boomerbacks have the early lead. The Boomerbacks are led by Kerry Jones from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a whole bunch of people named Overton. "Keeping up with the Overtons" may prove difficult in the weeks to come.

It was a late night for the dirty-dawg scoring machine given the fact that the NFL loves to torture us with not one, but two Monday night games during Week 1. Don't they know that the real world has real jobs that they have to get to on Tuesday morning? Just another reason to move dirty-dawg.com World Headquarters to San Diego, or Seattle, or Portland. Anyhow, the Week 2 PFCC Game Form is now open. Let's hope for a better evaluation of NFL team talent this time around!
