College Basketball Confidence Contest 2003

Charles Thomas Wins CBCC 2003

Charles Thomas of St. Clair, PA, is the proud winner of this year's College Basketball Confidence Contest, and, of course,, a customized dirty-dawg.com sweatshirt that has absolutely no value whatsoever.  Congratulations Charles.  Not only did Charles overcome just a 1 in 8 chance to win going into the final four, but he also set a CBCC record for points by tallying 8143 - 47 ahead of our 2nd place finisher Daniel Luyk.

Once again, dirty-dawgers displayed their superior knowledge of college hoops by easily outdistancing the experts.  Sam Selection (the seedings) finished a sorry 39th, and the Sagarin Ratings finished 55th.  Karl Neering of Troutdale OR was the one and the only dawger to put 64 on Syracuse.  He finished 13th.  Joseph Cook and Dick Wagenmaker had 63 on Syracuse, and a host of players, including our new champion had 62 on the Orange.

We hope you enjoyed this years contest and we hope to see you in time for football season in the fall.
